Introduction

    Star Sensor is a high precision, lightweight, miniaturized attitude measurement device to obtain directly satellite’s attitude with respect to the inertial coordinate frame. It first measures the direction vector of star in spacecraft’s coordinate system, then identifies the observed star with certain algorithm, and finally compares the direction vector of star in the body coordinate system to that of the star recorded in its own star catalog to calculate satellite’s attitude with respect to the inertial coordinate frame.  It is mainly used to measure spacecraft’s in-orbit attitude.
